Georgia Opening Day Success-DIY

Good start; nice Deer; I hope to get into the woods this saturday for my first hang. DIY'er myself RCH/SD..
 
If it wasn't so damn expensive to get em mounted I probably would have mounted this guy. I'm just going to euro mount him tho and it will still look badass!

I thought my opening day was a little beginners luck, but then I had another opportunity on a nice one this past weekend.
Had a pretty awesome encounter with a pretty nice 8/9 pointer this past sunday. He was outside the ears, and a pretty wild rack. I let him slide that sit! He probably won't get so lucky if he shows back up.

Do you hunt mainly south GA?
 
Yeah mostly right outside Savannah. I am hunting the ATL suburbs a little this season as well.

I've never had the chance to hunt that far south! Our hunting club is out in Jeffersonville and that's where I've mainly hunted the past 6/7 years. This year I ventured out to find some private spots up near the house in North GA and some public land as well. Expanding my options has opened up some opportunities for me that I am grateful for.

If you need a place or something to do up in North GA give me a holler man! Suburban hunting is different game and its exhilarating!!!
