Getting ready to buy my first sticks

I am about to pull trigger on first saddle, platform and sticks. Any thoughts on my stick choices is appreciated. Can't really get into the higher priced ones now.
I was looking for APIs to mod but can't seem to find any. I do want double steps so I am looking at Hawk Minis or Stacked Outdoors steps. I like the big stand off and step width of the stacked steps. I haven't seen anyone use them with rope mods though. I assume I can. I also like maybe less sound with non metallic steps. They do look big and I am worried they will stand out even once camo painted. I think the Hawk minis camo'd, stealthed and with rope mods would be pretty safe choice. My only other stick experience is the 20 or so sections of Muddy Stagger steps in my garage from all my loc-on locations. I am used to carrying 4 of those and stand so anything will feel light to me. Any thoughts fellas?

I would wait on the novix mini with the double step. They are not released yet, but look good. I changed my top step over to double from single, and really liked it. My mini set work well with my amsteel daisy chain using the truckers hitch method. Good luck! J.

If novix comes out with a double mini, that’s a good place to start. I have been very happy with my beast sticks and the EWO looks good as well.

The hawk minis are working well for me. I went with them as they were the best price and local (bought at a Sportsman's Warehouse). I paid $119 bit have seen them on sale closer to $100 if your patient. The helium's have been around long enough that you can get stuff to mod yours and people have been toying around with them so there plenty of threads and YouTube videos on mods.

I like my Novix minis. I may add a double step to the top stick but otherwise they're great. They pack and carry well with the built in strap. Better quality than you'll get from Hawk IMO.

Another vote for the Novix minis. Should definitely be worth the wait for the double step from them too. I really liked my Novix mini single steps but did ultimately move on to Beast sticks. I would definitely buy Novix again though without question.

No question better quality than Hawk.

I too have the Novix mini sticks and love them. I wouldn’t mind having their new double step minis when they come out but I really don’t mind the single steps.

Having climbed with 3 or 4 sticks and also one sticked, before I bought sticks I’d make sure you for sure don’t want to one stick rappel.

Seen you have mention the API sticks I own a set that I did the “beast” mod and I do not recommend those sticks due to the stand offs....I upgraded to beast sticks and I’ll admit I should of done the buy once cry once
