Welcome! I am from Central Indiana too! Reading this I wasn't aware there were so many guys in the area, would love the opportunity to meet up and share experiences

I have about the same digits as you and indeed, I'm happy with the Kestrel Flex size 2. @DanO has all the rope and accessory stuff you'll need. ( and then some...!) Climbing and platform depend a lot on what kind of trees you have. Here in the Sandhills, we have 95% long leaf pines, which are straight poles but with soft bark. One needs a different set of climbing tools than one climbing mostly hardwood trees with lots of branches.
