Well It definitely holds in place when you unload it. It was a little bit of a pain to fish the carabiner through the eye, but other than that I like it. I even went around a vine to get it out of the way and it holds with no problem when there is no weight on the tether.

yeah, i really don't have a problem with my tether sliding, just giving people the option. The question is always asked on this forum. I think it's better/easier than castration bands or looping through twice.

So haven't grabbed a rope yet, but seems in my head this only works on spliced or sewn ropes. The knot would not allow the loop to be big enough to fish a Ropeman thru. Funny I use this on my finger sling for my bow, but never occurred to use it on my tether.
So for those wondering...put your index finger and thumb up in loop. Turn them outward and down to grab both halfs of the loop. Pull up and you formed 2 loops, one on your finger and other on your thumb. Put together and work them till they are big enough to get your Ropeman or prusik through.

Shouldnt be and issue. You can make the hitch as big as you need before you cinch it down.

I have to admit, I haven't tried it yet either. Kind of wondering how tight the Girth Knot gets, after sitting on it for awhile? Or if coated with freezing rain or snow? One of our members mentioned simply stringing the tether end through the loop twice, which may be the solution!

i dropped my ropeman and went back to prusik only and i put on a lighter biner...helped reduce slippage.

This is all I do with mine. End goes thru the loop, flip the loop 180 and go thru again. Basically just makes a full circle around the tag end of the rope.

Mine is knotted and works grand. Just open your loop big enough to allow the knot through and then tighten back down.
