Friday morning I was at my parking spot well before sunrise. While getting my scent loc on my truck light went out twice. I went out to the back of my truck and put my bow on my pack during that time my truck lights went out two more times. Finally ready I shut the tailgate and took a couple steps and I saw a deer take off into the darkness scared the life out of me. It was only about twenty feet away. I walked about thirty yards and a deer blew at me twice and all I could see was four white tails bobbing thru the meadow. I have a mile walk to my stand got there, in my stand and by 8:30 my feet were freezing. I checked the temperature and it was 28 degrees. I talked myself into another 15 minutes. I sent my pack and bow down then climbed down myself. I strapped my bow to my pack and threw the pack on my shoulders, looked up just in time to see two doe at about thirty yards running away. I can't help but think if I could just have stayed a little longer I would have had a shot. While walking back to the truck I reminisced of previous years where I've left because of cold feet. Cold feet suck! I have to figure this problem out. Any suggestions?
