I have a set of lumenocks, with the little internal switch for shut off. Ive already broke one nock trying to shut it off because you have to use a knife point or something to stick inside and flip the switch. i was contemplating using a bit of Glo On or Gun Glow and putting a few drops on the inside of the nocks that came with my arrows, in the hollow part near the end. has anyone done this or something similar to make their own glow in the dark or lighted nocks?

Ima threadjack a bit cuz i'm confused. I have lumenoks too and mine don't engage that way. Mine engage when the end of the nock is pushed in such as when you release the arrow. Is mine an older design?

Mine work that way as well. When you pull the nocks out a bit they turn off. I can pull the nocks out enough by hand.

If you see that little hole, it's a tiny little switch inside there

Must be a little different design. The ones I had turned on when shot from the bow and needed to be turned off by flicking a little switch inside the nock. I used a finish nail I kept on the wrist strap of my release, that worked well.

either way, has anybody ever messed around with glo on or gun glo (gun sight paint) to make their own glowing nocks?

I have not tried gun glo or anything like that but I do agree turning off the nocturnal nocks can be a pain. I’m switching to glory nocks no tools needed just push an external button and push back on string to reset. They have good reviews so far.
