Is the go pro 10 worth the money or is it best to go with something else?
 
I asked myself this question a few months ago, and for my purposes decided to go with an 8 because I was able to get the video quality and stabilization I needed while finding a used one and accessories at a much lower cost.
 
Yes, but iirc the 8s horizon lock can be done within the app, so while the 9 and 10 do it on its own you just have to do it in the edit.

But this was not a major consideration in the type of footage I shoot, also if it is, check out a single axis stabilizer like noir matter quark.
