I'll post pictures once I get them for users to help me sift through what I got.

I don't want to jinx it but I think I scored about 17 strap on steps on Craigslist for 60 bucks

Holy cheap o. Were you able to get these steps? That's awesome. I try to pick up a few any time I see a good deal throughout the year, but that's a lot of steps for very little dough

Yes I have a description of them in another thread I started I think in the platform section.

I made a transition from a lone wolf hand climber, to a viper climber, to the Guido web.

I hated looking for trees for climbers when I was hiking an hour in when hunting southern Ohio. My hunting partner had a tree saddle and I sat it one time and I was moving a lot because of the hip pinch.

So I got a web and it's great after making some mods. I have done many all day sits in it and have been known to take a few naps in it. My hunting partner sold his saddle that he said he never would to get a web. I pack my steps and gear in my web and it's great how it fits everything in. The tree fork really makes a difference to me for those long sits.

For climbing I use three lone wolf sticks with raiders attached and get to about 23 feet.

Cons for the Web they are heavier then other saddles and warmer but that's about all I have. The warmth issue does help on cold days.

I would love to try an evolution to compare to the web.

Thanks for the input. I did a little research and pulled the trigger on a New Tribe Evolution. I had 3 all day sits this year with no issues. Once you find the sweet spot it's pretty comfortable

Is there a significant difference with these rigs that are marketed for hunting and the set ups used for lumber/light pole workers? I only ask because there is a large variety in that market vs our fairly new hunting market.

Not terribly familiar with the light pole worker rigs but those guys aren’t especially concerned with weight, noise or sitting still for hours.
