Yep. The only exception is if I'm climbing the same tree on private property multiple times. It is darn near impossible to get permission around here and I don't want to lose it. I don't want the owner to see a bunch of spike trails on the same tree. Once or twice I don't worry about.

I'm not worried about the tree, but I don't want the owner to get upset.

Same here. I always clear it with the owner but usually they don't care. I sold most of my land and I don't want to lose permission on the land I have permission to hunt for free.
