Gun hunting out of a saddle?

I use a screw in holder to hang my pack on the left and my rifle on the right. Both are positioned so that I can rest my rifle on top of them for deer from the 11-1 positions. The bridge and tether provide a rest for most everything else.

I sit, wrap into a Rhodesian sling, and brace against the tree. You could do it with any shooting sling, but I like that design for doing drives as well. I don't like using the bridge or tether as a rest. As with bow hunting form counts. Gun goes on a screw in hanger when I'm hanging out. I also will switch shoot. I'm not as comfortable shooting moving targets lefty cuz I'm right eye dominant and can't shoot both eyes open, but if I can use a rest I think a stable weak hand shot is easier than an off hand strong hand shot.

We drive alot and I pack a single stick on drives, it's amazing what an extra 10 ft gets you for shot opportunities on a drive. I also use the stick as a draw bar for dragging deer out and that's pretty slick with 2 guys.
