H2 or new Trophyline?

I know there are a lot of posts like this but I'm completely new to saddles. I'm looking to order an H2 or the new Trophyline that will be coming out next week. The price is nice of the H2 but the Trophyline comes with a pouch, sys hauler linemans belt, tether and 2 carabiners. All stuff I need. I mainly want to know which will be more comfortable. I know no one has experience with the Trophyline yet but it looks somewhat comparable to the old one. It also doesn't look like it has much adjustability but I don't know if that even matters or not. Any opinions?

The TL comes with 2 pouches, 3 carabiners and rope tether also rope linemans belt. Prob show up around the same time. I have only heard good things about the H2, but I personally know first hand the TL is the route I would go.

I’m in the same dilemma. Do you think the TL will show off the saddle more once they go live? I would like to see it in action on a video or something hopefully they do that. I’m also hoping that they sell the saddle by itself I have everything else.

Thought I heard somewhere that they were only going to sell the kits at first but I don't that for sure. I would like to add an extra pouch or 2 if I order so I hope they have extras for sale.

Can't speak to either of them yet. I've also never owned a saddle, but am days away from my H2 shipping. I may pick up the trophyline too next week and then compare them. At this point I have pieced together my LB and tether and two dump pouches and have a Ridge Runner platform ordered.

They will be selling just the kit for now.

Well then, I might as well order a H2 now.

Thank you.

Saddle selection is difficult for sure. Can't go wrong with a TL and as it comes with everything you need sounds like a win. I will say comfort is subjective. I have a Flex. My hunting partner and I have the same waist and hip size. I love my Flex like a well worn pair of jeans, my partner doesn't. I'd say reach out to TL and talk about fit and fitment, see if they have a return policy.
Another thing you can do is hit up the saddle hunter map and see if there's someone close to you so you could try one on.

All good points. I think I'm going to take my chances with the Trophyline and if I don't like it I'll sell the saddle and keep the linemans belt, tether and pouches. Then I can work my way around the other saddles on the market.

I have the H2 large and its awesome. Cant beat the customer service either. I originally ordered a M and wound up being a little to small for my comfort and he exchanged it no problem. I bought a couple cheap dump pouches off Ebay ($12 total) and I'm in business. The H2'S built like tanks.

I like the buckles better on the h2 but I like how the trophyline looks like it would cup more and possibly be more comfortable. But I don't know that for sure. I like that I can have the option of making my own or resizing the bridge on the h2. I could piece things together but the TL kit would be nice to have everything there right away Tougher decision now that I thought about it a little more.I'm right in the middle of a medium on the h2 so I don't think size should matter so much for me.

Yeah, it just sucks to pay all that money the have to hack and cut to make it what you want. My H2 is money.

I sat in the new TL last night for a 4 hour hunt, I admittedly have always loved TL comfort and never mod them at all, but I was super comfortable. I actually liked having the waist buckle, I do not love the slider and may want to swap that out. But I doubt I will even do that. If you found the original TL comfortable, this one is lighter, a bit smaller and just as comfortable.

The slider is all I was worried about. As long as I can silence it I'm good with it. Plus I wasn't sure if I wanted to have to step through the leg loops because of the wet and muddy places I hunt.

Once the webbing is fed through the slider and tightened it makes zero noise. Stepping through without touching the ground is not hard to do, I just hold onto the linemans loops and step in one at a time. I then tighten the bridge, until I get the slider tight, then i release the bridge, but that is personal preference. I also add suspenders to all my saddles, as I like having them.

Any idea how it compares to the flex? Comfort and size wise?

I have not spent much time in a Flex so I do not feel that i can give an honest comparison. I just know that I did not like the pleat, I found that once it opened it wasnt the easiest to fold closed again.

I will probably put it on once I get to the tree a lot of the time do I don't want it clanking around as I'm trying to put it on. But it shouldn't be too hard to make completely silent.
