Has anyone opted to use a Hang-On stand for the extra foot room, as opposed to any standard saddle platform?

I went back to using my Trophyline Mission platform, whereas earlier in the season I was using my Summit Viper for a while and got spoiled with the extra foot room. Obviously, the Summit isn't as stable as the Mission....for moving around the tree. :)

Can't use a hang on. In quick time, my lower back starts to kill me. I suppose i could also stand but that defeats the purpose of a hang on. Thankfully, i found saddle hunting. Otherwise, i could only hunt from the ground, sitting on a bucket, wearing Hawaiian shirts, cutoff bdu pants and neon yellow crocs.

Yes. I still dabble in saddle platforms but I think I’ll always love the hybrid approach with a hang on most. It’s my go to and what I choose most of all.

Love everything about saddle hunting, especially one sticking and rappellling. I don't like shooting from a platform from the backside of the tree though. I prefer to have my feet planted level on a stand in front of the tree. Just bought the smallest Elevate stand and going to use it in a hybrid . Ill still climb one stick without a platform for too step , pull my stand up by rope, hunt, then rappel down
