How does everyone hang theres? Skull hooker mount? Plaque? A zip tie and a nail? Looking for any creative ideas. Post some pics if you can.

I prefer the type of hook shown below. You can typically pick them up for $7-8 a piece. (Although I like @Nutterbuster idea above).

My wife likes distressed/old looking stuff so they typically get mounted on some old boards I have around.

I also have a few on plaques I bought from Custom Barnwood Plaques but, that's not the most cost effective solution.

My son's first deer was mounted on a plaque that our neighbor made for him before he passed.

Found it out by accident. I brought home a dead head and wanted a place to set it where the dogs couldn't get it. Was looking around and hey presto.

I like the idea of the coat hook but, my wife would lose it if she came home and their were deer skulls on the front of our house. haha

6 inch piece of 3/4 flat aluminum, bent at the 2 inch mark. Simple, cheap

My first ever deer kill from 2016. Taken with a 45-70. Spray lacquered the skull for some shine. Epoxied the jaws shut to keep it together. Wood glued some old fence slats together for the base. The hook is a cheap $4 one they sell on Camofire.com a lot. I was able to dig the slug out of the tree it hit after the pass through. So epoxied the slug and shell on at the bottom.

My first ever buck AND bow kill from 2019. Spray lacquered this skull too. Also used another of the same hooks from Camofire.com. This time I got a wood slice from the hobby store, laser engraved the date and county he was taken in. Then coated the daylights out of the surface of the wood with a good can and a half of spray lacquer. Epoxied the jaws shut also to keep everything together.
