So I purchased a set of these to try them out and decided I really like them. So I’m gonna keep them. But they are also kinda expensive and that might give folks pause to buy them. So. I’m going to donate one of the steps as a “test” step so others can try them. Hopefully this’ll get the word out and get the biz some exposure. Innovations and well thought out tech are always helpful. My only ask is this:
-If you get the step, use it quickly and pass it on. Don’t camp on it. Let’s keep it moving.
-Report back your thoughts. This is how companies make their product better, through feedback. Also, it informs others and info is a good thing.
So, if you want some of this, post below with an I’M IN and we’ll start it on its journey. Attached are some pics for references. No you animals, you aren’t getting them all, only one! I’ll take a run at it. I can try my Amsteel button runner mod with it and see how it compares to the other steps I have tried (squirrel steps, Ameristep, Cranford, Treehopper, Bullman, Climb Paws).

It's crazy to me that people would want to c
carry even 1 stick into the woods.just because they don't want to secure a few more straps. You can stay way closer to the tree with single steps.its a little slower but sneakyer.some videos dudes look like poledancing acrobats flailing around like a flag in the wind.then they say saddles suck cuzz deer always see me.next to.2 tethers or nuterbusters carbon rods these should be the standard

I got the test step yesterday afternoon. Thanks, Exhumis

I was able to try out a few different configurations with a cambuckle, OCB and mainly with my preferred method of step attachment-Amsteel button runner.

The step is solid with every method I tried.

It takes side pressure very well.

It does make some hollow plastic type noise sometimes when you first step on it to set it.

The standing area is not nearly as wide as a Climb Paw, but also not nearly as bulky to pack or carry in. Climb Paws do not nest together.

The slot is too thin to run Amsteel through it, so I rigged a piece of 1” webbing daisy chain and then attached the Amsteel to the loops.

I tried it with several different webbing and Amsteel aiders. Definitely a viable option. I haven’t settled on my favorite way to connect the Aider, though. I am going to experiment some more.

More to follow as I mess around with it some more.
