Harness saddle ?? Is it possible

I dippin my foot into saddle hunting and I like the idea of the wieght and mobility. My question is has anyone converted a harness into a saddle? Looking at most saddle they are essentially that.

My thought is to so a molle kidney pad to the bottom of a Hss add a few webbing loops for caribeners and make a rope with a purrsick for my Harness the ther and one for my saddle. Do able?

Yes! I actually converted one of my safety harnesses into a swing saddle using a pressure treated board, a lineman's belt, and a couple of carabineers. I have used it about a half dozen times now and I'm still alive, so it's functional. Here are some pictures: viewtopic.php?f=17&t=983

Yeah. I also affixed several styles of seat to different harnesses. Currently, I like the sit drag with a harness. There have been several good ideas floated around on here.
