For you mobile hunters, I was wanting to know what folks use to attach their safety harness to the tree. I want to get away from the metal buckle type strap for weight and noise purposes.

I'm not looking for something that stays attached to the tree like a safety line ,but for the mobile hunter.
 
Ive been mobile hunting this season doing exactly that. I have a 10mm line with a figure 8 on one end and a stopper knot on the other end. I use a ropeman and carabiner to connect them to my harness after I feed the tag end through the figure 8. I do have a backup Prusik I tie in as well just in case. I have not had any slippage issues.
