Has anyone attempted to make something similar to the Dryad Drey hammock saddle?

I love the concept, but I'm a DIY'er at heart and I just can't see it being too difficult to build one, especially for those of us that already have saddle building experience. Anyone made something similar?

I haven't but can't be too difficult to tie the ends, just follow the same method as tying a camping hammock. Truthfully though, I'd still incorporate a RCH for the actual load bearing.

I bought the material, but haven’t got around to playing with it yet. thought about sewing a seam to thread onto to two of those climbing rings that you can take apart and then run a bands to the bridge biner like a backband. I would still wear my saddle. My XC is plenty comfortable, this would be something for all day sits….or naps lol.

Probably goes even further back …..

That brings back memories

I recall a few people made hammock style saddles out of ripstop material that were real similar to the drey. I've looked over their harness options to replace my safety harness I use with my fleece saddle, and they are a nice purpose built option as far a safety/climbing harness goes

This fleece saddle is maybe 80-85% as comfortable as my jx3, but the jx3 is only 50-60% as good at meat hauling as my kifaru frame - fleece is lookin good as the go toSnapchat-957767571.jpg
