Has anyone tried this for a platform?

Yeah, it's brought up every couple of months. I have never tried it myself but, I think the general consensus is it's heavy, pulls away from the tree a little which makes it not real stable but, will work if it's your only option.

Thanks, Just ordered the Post from HuntingBob and the Lone Wolf Bat wing brackets to go on a Lone Wolf Seat that I bought.
 
I would at the minimum move the seat portion to the lower portion of the post.
