I’ve got a badlands timber pack on the way with the option of using spurs (whenever I can), lone wolf sticks, or hawk helium’s. Does anyone have any input on strapping either of those sticks to packs or preferred methods? I normally carry 4 sticks and an aider. But since I’ll have a pack I’d like to find a more efficient way to move.

Another member recommended this to me. Best thing I’ve bought so far! Holds sticks together and you just throw them across your back.

I use the sea to summit accessory straps to hold sticks together. And then I strap them to my Exo 2000 pack. Straps are awesome, light and strong. I use a longer one with hooks for a tree strap to hold bow and bag.

I also single stick. When I do that and go light, I use a tubular webbing aider and 2 light carabiners to attach it to the bottom step. But when I carry it in I'll put one carabiner on the bottom step and one on the top step and sling the stick over my shoulder like a rifle. Works great!

if I use a backpack I add a dump pouch to the front bottom of the pack. bottom of the sticks go in the dump pouch, an the top of the sticks I use a nite ize gear tie through a molle loop.

if I'm not using a back pack I sling the sticks over my shoulder (cross body) using a rifle sling with the cool webbing brackets made for kayaks called a 'speed clip'.

the rope goes through the hole in the stand off, and gets flipped back over the 'thumb' in the speed clip. get to the base of the tree, and with a single flip of the thumb the sling is off the clips and I can start climbing.

I use Voile straps they're rubber I screwed on to sticks so no worries of losing them. They're awesome, can just open and attach to side of my pack.

Cool speed clip idea! Thanks for sharing!
