Hawk Any Angle Seat

I'm new to the tree saddle scene and don't want to spend an insane amount of money. I was wondering if the Hawk any angle seat would work as a platform as long as I take the cushion off? I can't really see why not.

I think that seat swivels. So it probably wouldn’t work good. The other hawk seat works good if you change out the standoffs to line wolf standoffs. You can get the stand offs at double steps.com I think. He is a forum member and ships really fast. Great website!
