Hawk Apex Platform Upgrades/Mods??

Tried one of these out the other day and noticed it was a bit slippery and loud. Looking for some pictures/ideas of upgrades that people have done to solve these issues and anything else they noticed after extended use?

I know weaving paracord works well, but it seems like it might be challenging with the larger bars on this platform.

Take a grinder and lightly burr the outer edge in the front and sides to create teeth for grip while leaning out. And skate board tape on the top… problems solved. I do not have a pic to reference but my good buddy owns three of them and that’s what he did to upgrade them. So far he swears by it
 
Dumore or dremel the outer edges. I cut off all the extra threads on bolts including the base adjustment bolt. I don't need it to angle up. New ewo stand off bracket. Abrasive tape on platform. Lw strap.

What size bolt did you get with the standoff? They have two options at ewo.
