Hawk Helium/Alumibutton Mod Question

Question regarding 2 specific items I am considering using together. I want to use the Hawk Helium sticks with Eastern Outdoors(doublestep) Alumibutton.

My concern is the clearance between sticks when stacking them. I've seen videos where the posterior button screw and nut prevent flush stacking leaving the owner to tap holes so the hardware sits flush. But, the button used was the Versa Button by LW and not double steps Alumibutton.

I want to avoid tapping holes in the stick and was wondering if any of yinz have experience using the two.
