Hawk Helium Apex Platform

I just got one in the mail after I tried to cancel it.(guess they didn't cancel my order lol). Ordered on sept 29th. It does adjust. I didn't weigh it but it does feel a tad lighter than my ridge runner. Welds are eh. Im only 150lbs so I trust it. It folds nice and fits in my pack nice. Debating whether I wanna keep it or sell it since I already have the ridge runner and tree suit.

Ked84,
Did you get a chance to try it out? Appreciate any review you can provide. Based on the way it looks with the versa button high on the post I'd be curious to how tight it cams over and how it handles the side pressure. If its an issue I wonder if the button could be re-drilled an moved down like the predator's.

Unfortunately with work and a 1 year old my days are pretty packed. I haven't even gotten to strap it to a tree yet. But I also thought that about the button

Totally get it. I'll stay tuned for your update. Thanks
Finally got out back of my house to throw it on a tree quickly. These are my thoughts. Comparing to an ooal RR and a tree suit. For the money, the hawk will work fine. It is a bit squeaky and when i applied side pressure it moved a bit...but it could have been cammed better im sure since the tree suit also moved on side pressure for me. The hawk has enough room to move around and stand but i tend to like the wideness of the ooal rr and tree suit better. I was going to sell it and still may but not until i put some grip tape on it and give it a good sit. But for $99 or $60 when its on camofire, its worth it if your under 200lbs like me lol. Anything over 200 i may be uneasy about the button.

Seen this on Facebook last week.
What's the back story? That thing looks like it took a lot of abuse before it gave way but I have no idea. The plastic pad is even showing fatigue.

Agree that the welds are something to be desired lol. That's a reason why i stated above being under 200lbs i trust it lol

Guy didn't say much other than it was a Christmas gift and folded after his 5th hunt. I'll dig through the page and see if I can find it again

Just got one of mine delivered today. I ordered another when I saw it on sale yesterday at camofire.
Look, this thing is like comparing a walmart hang-on to a lone wolf assault when you set it next to a predator, but you know what? I think it's gonna be great for my pre-sets. Sometimes the high end (overpriced) gear isn't always necessary. Unfortunately I won't know for sure if I wasted my money until next season!

This is the first hawk product I've owned and happy with the quality so far. A little rough around the edges but welds look just fine. I think if it cammed over better( bit more) it would help. Overall no noise at all and no kick out.I was definitely wondering about the stand off. I cut off the extra length on all bolts and put some teeth on the outer edges. My steel platform makes some noise when pressure is applied otherwise I would have stuck with that at a half pound heavier. A pic next to my steel platform I tried to post with my welcome but no luck.
