How do you all feel about this platform? I don’t want a large platform since I prefer a ring of steps. So theoretically this would be perfect for me. But I haven’t had much good to say about Hawk as a whole (other than the climbing sticks I use). Any thoughts appreciated!

For my style, it wouldn't work at all. I mostly stand and lean in my saddle, and that's all my weight on my toes. I need to be able to put my heels down. It would also be hard to turn 180 degrees to shoot. For someone who hunts with a ring of steps, it might be the ticket.

Out on a limb manufacturing makes a pretty sweet little platform that can be attached to a hawk stick. I also happen to have one sitting in my basement collecting dust that I could let go of if you’re interested.

For a quick hunt, it's just ok... Add a third bolt if you get it

I purchased one of these for demos. The stand-off space is none. And it’s very slick so you have to put grip tape or something similar on it so you have traction. Personally I’d get a set of novix mini double sticks and a wingman or as mentioned above the scout, or pretty much any stick platform from Out On a Limb or Eastern Woods Outdoors would be way better albeit more costly…

The price is right…

Otherwise maybe a good fit for some with tiny feet that likes modding just for the sake of having something to do.

its a hard NO for me, even at that price.

I used one on a short helium stick with a 3 step aider. Good for the price, but it needs additional bolt or something to silence it the way it mounts. Personally I liked it for shorter sits, but if you are using a ROS too, it’ll be a lot better. I sold that short stick but I disliked the aider more than the platform. I prefer the longer helium stick w/single step aider. I also use the full-size hawk platform with one Monkey bar step on each side…..LOVE IT!

No personal experience one way or another, but I've seen reports of bent Hawk sticks. I'd be leery of the extra leverage this platform exerts on the stick. I'd probably take a chance on a cheap used one before mounting one to one of my go-to sticks. I seem to recall some discussion in the DIY forum on modding/improving these. For $22, though, it's probably worth a try; if you bend a stick they're pretty common and easy to replace.
