I am pretty over budget recently between starting the switch to saddle hunting and getting the gardens going this year. I am trying to space the shipments out far enough apart so her red haired temper doesn't explode on me.

I added suspenders, they were helpful when the buckle pops open. The downside to them is they can come off your shoulder when hunting, so you might want to just take them off once tied in.
"I"wouldn't use stainless....it has a tendency to gall the threads where they will actually lock up and freeze to the nut it rides in.Well, I am looking for a longer angle adjustment bolt for the platform. Since I used a thinner beam than lone wolf uses, the current bolt won't get the platform completely level. I haven't been able to find a grade 8 version that fits the bill. Would 18-8 stainless be strong enough?

I have access to lots of hardware manufacturers, What are you looking for with the replacement bolt?Well, I am looking for a longer angle adjustment bolt for the platform. I used 9 feet on mine. Is probably a little more than I really need as it will get around a really big tree. I would think 7' would be a minimum amount though. My question is how long is the rope that you guys recommend for the versa mod on the heliums? is 7 ft enough? too much? My thought was that I can almost always get my arms around the trees that I hunt and I am 6 -1 so my wing span is about 6 feet. But then I also need to tie the knot on one end .... I also like the versa mod for the platform, I might end up doing that also!
Is there a thread on the build of this saddle I would love to build one of these or anyway I could get a build list this is freaking awesome man I'm impressedGot the straps and carabiners on. And rigged up a connection to the door jam.

Do you think that shortening the stem on the versa button helps the 1/4" Amsteel cynch down better. Seems if you left the versa button at factory length, there would be too much space in there for 1/4". Maybe not though. It looks like it helped with being able to stack them though. How much did you trim off the versa buttons? Here's my cutdown sticks where they are at now. I only have 1 step on the bottom. I just wanted dual steps for the top. Ikeman I like your aiders, I might try something similar.
You'll notice the versa buttons aren't quite as "tall" since I trimmed them down. I still have to trim down the screw on the exit side.
Thanks. I made 3 out of the 1st stick I cutdown because I cut the stick to 17".
