Plenty of welding and heavy-duty material went into it. Grade 8 bolt with nylon washers. Cam down style platform.

Definitely strong. The kindorf make it a little smaller then square tubing.

Could you use multi hole kindorf? Still strong and less weight?
 
I could've but everything was free parts and scrap from work and my father in laws shop. Spent $1.50 on the bolt and washers but thats all I've got in it money wise.
