I’m sure mods on the helium have been beat to death but I made a small one I did nt know if it was cover. I drilled out my tree stand-off to accommodate a longer and better machine bolt so not to ya e to have extra bolts or off set pressure points.

That’s a good idea. Standoff should still be strong enough I would imagine

I like what you did there. Wonder if theres enough "meat" in the standoff to take this idea to the next level? Swap out the socket cap screws for a pan head and tap(thread) the standoff to eliminate the nuts.

Or at least dremel the extra thread from the nuts off. That was first thing I did.

I would nt grind it off . I still have to add a versa button and then I’ll check clearances but if there is an issue I can always drill holes In the stick and use the excess bolt to seat in the back their stick during stacking and have it act as another attaching point.

These are machine bolts and have the smooth neck so the pivoting step isn’t grinding on threads. I’m not sure what kind of resistance you’d get if you used a tapping screw?

Grind that off and you will be set.
