Hello from Northern Virginia

What part of nova are you in? Im in Maryland within 30 mins of Tysons bought an aero hunter earlier this year if you want to meet up and check it out let me know. Still new to saddle hunting but I did drag a climber through the woods for a few years before finding the light

I'm 20 minutes west of Tyson's Corner in Herndon, VA. I would love to check out the Aero, but am afraid I'll have to buy it once I check it out, lol. I've got a sit drag right now that I'm pretty happy with, using it with my old rock climbing harness, seems like a pretty good setup, I've followed G2 and many of the others in customizing the sit drag, and for climbing methods, I was planning RADS and the XOP hand climber, but after doing some scouting yesterday, I'm still new to the area, it looks like it will mostly be the XOP, the tree's here all seem to be super straight with zero branches.

Sold my viper.........Guidos Web took its plce on the wall.......now that's a trophy to have on the wall.
Oh, right beside the web is my Sit drag, in place of my millennium lock on.
Hope that helps with your decision.

Lol, that's awesome, I only have a sit drag right now, and I'm pretty happy with it, hopefully, I can get a few years out of it!

Welcome! Another NOVA hunter here. I just moved to a farm in Fauquier County from Fairfax county. But I won the lottery and will be hunting Fairfax County parks near Bull Run this year. My setup for public land this year will be my new Aero Hunter w/ sticks and Ameristep platform. I hope it will be good for discretely getting in and out of the parks. Good Luck!

Nice! I got the Reston Cluster. Are you not gonna hunt the farm?

I absolutely will- it looks pretty promising! I see deer most days, and turkeys too, but haven't had time to scout or prep at all. I had already applied for the parks before we acquired the farm, and one can never have too much hunting land access. I might use the parks for filling the freezer, and be a little more selective for a nice buck on the farm. I'll see how it goes this season but it's nice to have options.

It's nice to have options! Let me know if you need some help or wanna meet up and discuss saddle tactics, I'm not far away!

Thanks, Have you hunted the FFX parks before? My first year there, and first season in the saddle, so I don't claim to know anything! Send me a PM if you want to compare notes sometime. I'll buy the first round!

Welcome to saddle hunter. IMHO just get the saddle and don't mess with those heavy cumbersome stands.
