Hello everyone,

I'm pretty excited to start my saddle hunting set up. I'm hunting on mostly public land/Cornell University and a small farm. All of the places are for the most part carry in and carry out. I've had previous experience working with at risk kids on a high ropes course and I'm pretty comfortable on a climbing harness. I'm looking at getting a full body harness to get started. I have some ideas for a back rest on the harness based on infant/child carriers when my boys were little. I'm going to need the harness to function and help keep me warm during Nov and Dec.

Welcome from Maryland! Sounds like your comfortable with the equipment & could probably start w/something a little more minimalist..... grab a saddle & get rolling

Welcome from the Fingerlakes region of NY. I hunt 100% public all over NY. I do some on Cornell as well. Good luck this season

Welcome from AR! Good luck w/your DIY setup. It's way to easy for me to 'add to cart' than to make my own saddle. Mad props to those who can!
