Have been looking at the site for about a month now getting some ideas and education on saddle hunting. Looking forward to getting started hunting with a saddle soon.

Nice, I’m living in Dothan Alabama. Bouncing back I forth from GA and AL public lands. New to saddle hunting this year and it’s the ticket for sure.

I ordered my first saddle but looks like about 3 more weeks before I get it so I am looking at making one for now. Just ordered some amsteel 1/4 for the bridge. Wondering if I have something to use as a lockstitch so I don't need to order anything else. I hunt some of the WMA in GA, have been trying to spot and stock hogs this year with the recurve and haven't had any luck. lol

That’s one thing that is exciting in Alabama no closed season on hogs! You will have to let us know if you are successful because that will be impressive. There are some great resources on here for the DIY stuff and don’t be shy to ask questions. Everyone on here has been super helpful and I can assure you they have learned the hardware that you don’t have too.

Welcome from MA. I'm a newbie this year. Got my ass in a sling about mid season up here, and took two bucks to close out my season. It is indeed a great way to hunt. The folks on this site are a wealth of information, and good sharers to boot.

Welcome from south GA.
@SkylineReaper opinions? If it’s written on saddle hunter it’s got to be fact.
Hey Eric have a question about hog hunting MWA's in south GA. After deer season I am looking to hunt some MWA's in south GA might camp for a few days hog hunting. Do you have a suggestion on a few good MWA's for hogs in your area?
