I joined a while ago and ended up getting busy. I have 6 kids and the youngest three are adopted. It’s been a crazy year.
Anyway I was given a good sized gift card to buy a Tethyrd brand saddle. Which model should I get? This is new to me.
I am 6’2” and weight 220. I have a 36” waist. What else should I include? What else should I ask? Help me choose the right Tethyrd model. The gift card is Tethyrd specific.

I am a 2 panel saddle guy so the choice for me would be easy, the ESS (Eberhart Signature Saddle). John Eberhart has a lot of videos of this saddle on his channel and shows how to use it and the benefits of it. I will say that if you plan to hang a lot of saddle bags off your saddle this would likely not be the one to get. Go watch some of his videos and see if this is something that appeals to you.

Alot will depend on how you hunt, what climbing method you use, and what platform you go with. There are a lot of variables. If you do go with a 2 panel, I can recommend a ring of steps. These are best for sitters, not leaners. You may not know yet which one you are...yet.

There is a ton on info on this site so dig in and enjoy. Good luck with the saddle and good hunting.

Jump on YouTube and watch some comparison videos. Might as well buy a package so you have a complete kit, then down the road you can play with replacing various pieces.
As for the model I’d recommend calling them directly and chatting with them. Depending on where you live you might need to get something a bit larger or more adjustable to allow for layering.
