Hey guys wondering if anyone has an idea of how to setup on a downed tree (it is laying prob 5 feet in the air no real branches)

I need to be in a normal sitting position in a chair or standing to see over the cover I need to see into the deers bedding area (as in I can’t see if just sitting on the log)

My first thought is to take a couple small sections of 2x4 and some straps and strap them to the tree and stand on those or possibly bring my Waldrop to place on those

Open to other ideas…kicker is I am trying to hunt it in the morning haha

Do you have a 6 ft. step ladder and a seat pad? I actually had this in a downed Bur Oak and had deer walk by with no idea I was there. Don't worry about paint since you want to go in tomorrow, just set up so the sun isn't reflecting off of it. Screenshot_20231219-184050_Gallery.jpg

If the tree has a V in it anywhere where you want set up, could always try the crotch rocket platform by TreeHopper. I have one and rarely use it but when I find a place it will work, it’s pretty flipping cool. Although not sure how well it would fit on a tree crotch that’s horizontal to the ground.
