Hey guys and gals,i am happy to join the saddle hunter crowd. I am from upstate NY,close to Cooperstown, and tired of lugging my summit climber into the woods. I put a good backpack frame on it and it still blows to carry it any distance. Plus having to look for a branchless tree is getting old too. Bowhunting is my favorite season by far,and i want to be mobile and comfortable for it. I am pretty certain I will make the investment in a saddle hunting outfit and climbing sticks. I already browsed quite a bit on this site and it looks like a great resource.
I am a member on the hunting ny site as well.

Welcome from WI. Great group of helpful people on this site. I have 1 season in a Tethrd Mantis after lugging a millennium lock-on into the woods for many seasons. Nothing like cutting 15# off your carry weight. I killed my first bow buck from the saddle on Oct 27th.
