Hickory Creek Mini In-Line Vertical Crossbow

Are most of you shooting the arrows it comes with? After seeing this In person I’m seriously considering.

I've only shot the 23 inch Victory arrows from Hickory Creek. One shot I took made it through some brush then through the ribcage and heart of a doe and stuck out the other side at about 30 yards.

I spoke with a guy from Ontario who has had one for a few years. He has killed several bears and moose with stock arrows and a 75 g broad head
It shoots 365 ft per sec in that setup. He shortened his stock arrows slightly.

Not very fairy ranch like but several moose. The largest land animal in North America

Posts like this warm the cockles of my heart. Tell your buddy we're about to hold a holiday in his honor here in south alabama.

"Adult arrows" my dungarees-wearin' hiney.

This was on the Ontario outdoors Tapatalk page. Nice little kill with a mini.
A little bigger than a pig

@Nutterbuster ... Dang it, Nutter - the more of your content that I check out, the thinner my wallet gets!

Seriously, though - gotta thank you for turning me on to the "Hickory Creek Mini In-Line Vertical Crossbow" with this thread. Heck, the name is longer and weightier than the weapon itself. They need to rename it ... perhaps "Mini Moose Slayer" (MMS) so we won't need a Heimlich maneuver after saying the name out loud!

I wasn't planning on upgrading my hunting weapon in 2020, but the advantages of the Mini are too numerous to pass up. One screw takedown? Packability with repeatable accuracy that'll make grown men giggle like little boys? Stealth and deadliness that makes mature bucks break off their own antlers and impersonate yearling does with frightened determination? This is just what I need to round out my kit!

Like a moth to a flame, my fingers entered my credit card info into the online form and I now await arrival of my very own Mini. Must look away from Nutterbuster posts ... must look away!

I guess nutter says it don’t matter. Jerry says the same thing. The guy in a Ontario killing moose and bear says it does not matter too. Hmmm. Maybe I should not care either

Don't listen to us! You NEED 600 grains of tapered shaft and a 200 grain, single-level, one-piece broadhead up front. And if the heads don't cost $100 for a set of 3 and come with a lifetime warranty, just put them back on the shelf.

Fairies don't lie. ;)

Look at that. @Nutterbuster saves me time and money so I can spend money on his ideas with the money saved on other ideas.

Prolly cant kill a deer with a .243 either.

Well my Mini just arrived and the unboxing was like a cross between two old movies: Close Encounters of the Third Kind and the Raiders of the Lost Ark!

This thing is slicker than deer guts on a glass door knob and dog snot on a pearl pistol grip!

It’s like having a nuclear missile launcher in a slingshot package that folds up to fit in your kindee-gartner’s book bag!

Makes me wanna swing through the trees with my leopard skin saddle & treevine tether hollerin’ like Tarzan and flexing like Schwarzenegger!

Kinda feels like cheatin’ on my old & faithful Ten Point Venom with an 18 year old Playboy Bunny who’s obsessed with makin a fella feel good all over and grin ear to ear!

HELL YEAH - @Nutterbuster is right - it’s that good!
