You hear alot about farm country, hill country, swamp. So it got me wondering what's everyone's definition of hill country? Here in Pennsylvania I hunt the Allegheny national forest and I consider that hill country. But my hill country is not the same as what people in Iowa call hill country and I'm sure they would consider where I hunt mountain terrain. So do you hunt "hill country" the same as mountain terrain?

Growing up in North central PA, you either hunt the mountain or the farm, now I'm in maryland, we've got woods, swamp, or farm. They have mountains in western md, but whatever.

You say hill country I think Texas hill country.

We always called Allegheny forest "mountains".
SW Pa is hills.
I drive thru sections of WVA and those hills in some areas look like frustrating torture for wind patterns.
There's all kinds of structure and not all hills and mountains are created equal when it comes to wind behavior and deer movement.
