Holster for Saddle Hunting?

Chest rig all the way. Hill People Gear Recon or Runner's kit bag depending on your preferences and use case. (I have both and they're great!)
 
I used a GunfighterInc Kenai chest holster all last year with an old surplus Hi Power (not a super light gun). Great way to carry a handgun with a pack that has a waist belt.

I’d usually have over my base layer and fleece jacket since I walk in with that, and then put any heavier layers over that. Very easy to get to, nice wide shoulder strap is comfy, retention is excellent. I sprung for the camo fabric wrap and would recommend it, just a touch quieter than straight Kydex.

If you have a molle waist belt it’s not a terrible idea to use a Bianchi M12/UM84/M92 holster, I’ve done that before.
