Horns

Every hunter I talk to calls them horns. Eventually I got tired of correcting people and now, although I know it’s incorrect, I find myself saying horns too. I guess I took the, if you can’t beat ‘em… join ‘em route.

I find myself getting annoyed by tv hunters a lot. The super long shots on live animals. The fact they can’t talk anymore without mentioning a sponsor. I get it that it’s their job but dial it back a lil.
Yep, I too get turned off when I feel like it’s one big sales pitch for a company who’s primary goal
Is to patent other peoples ideas and build a monopoly. Which is why I tend to watch a lot more amateur content.

Somewhere along the way it became cool to be an ignorant fool.

I agree for sure....if u "so" passionate about the critters u trying to kill and all, why not use the right term....antlers are unique to cervids so why take that away from them.

It's real crazy when u think about it.....a horn like hair or fingernails...I could not cut my fingernails or hair and make an impressive "rack" but I can't make essentially another 2 limbs grow outta my body, have the limbs die and rot away exposing the bone underneath, use the dead limb bones as weapons, have them fall off, and start over again...weird and crazy and cool
