I don't have mine cut down nor do I plan on it. I'm just trying to figure out the best way to carry them in. Brace yourself. I plan on carrying 4 or 5 of them. I know that's and added 15 lbs or so, but luckily I dont have very far to walk onto this public land to get where I want.

I have a backpack that I can strap them to the sides but that is only 2 on each side, and if you have better suggestions I'm all ears!!

Find Mike Isbell on the FB saddle forums. He modded my pack to carry short sticks. Also modded my buddy's pack to carry full size heliums. I'm sure he can hook you up! Great workmanship!

I wound up cutting mine down and I use the Lone Wolf stick straps and just sling them over my shoulder. So light and easy. Wear the saddle in and you’re good to go.

I know you mention not cutting them down, but it was so simple to do and with a moveable aider, I can get to 18-19 feet with three sticks. Maybe next offseason you might consider this change.

I practiced twice with the moveable aider that I made and it’s so simple!!

As someone who is typically afraid of heights, I'm not wild on the aider idea. So I figure for my first year I'm gonna just do full sticks no aider and hoof them in.

Single step aider?

This is my first year, but I think I have a setup with the Alps Pursuit Pack where I can easily carry three of them using the strap meant to carry your gun/bow. These are 3 full sticks. I’ve done a fit check, and all seems well. Adding two more may be a challenge, though.

I strap my full length heliums straight to my Superday pack. I also have a shoulder strap to carry them up the tree so when I leave the ground I don’t have to climb back down.

Knaider and swaider feels alot more comfortable then step ladder aiders in my opinion

Still trying to figure it out. I'm going to try using the Ridge Runner inside of my turkey vest to tie down my sticks to with the straps for the platform and sticks. I haven't tried walking a decent distance with them though, might not hold up.

I made my on platform out of an old loc on stand. The platform is bigger than most people but it is my first year in saddle so I will use it this year and maybe get a smaller platform next year. I put shoulder straps on platform I just attached my sticks to them with strap.

For going up the tree tie some 550 paracord loops onto the molle webbing stick the end of the stick through and open the steps to hold. I put my first stick up on the ground pit 3 sticks through the loops climb up with the second stick in my hand and place that then I just pluck the steps off the loops as I move up.

Only carry 3 and strap them to the side of my Badlands pack, very easy. I'm sure it would be more comfortable to have them balanced with a couple sticks on each side but overall not to bad.

This occurred to me when trying to come up with a sling for the sticks. I think early season I can get everything I need in the sling pack and the sticks feel comfortable for the distances I’ll be going.

Does it sling forward easily with all that weight and bulk?

I’m in the process of finding a sling pack for this purpose as well. Not for multiple sticks, but a single stick and maybe rope steps.

Remarkably easy to swing the pack in front to take off the sticks.

Mine are cut down, but this method would work with full length sticks, too. I already had this Exo frame and crib load panel from my western hunts. In three last couple years I have kept it in my truck to pack out meat once I had an animal on the ground. I realized by removing the actual bag, but keeping the crib load panel and the lid, I would have an ideal pack for my needs. Myv Predator goes in the crib (it's inside the predator pack in this pic) and isolate it from any noise with the sticks. I don't carry much stuff to hunt, so the lid holds my kill kit and whatever else I opt to throw in it. Hip belt pockets for headlamp, compass, phone, and milkweed. Since it's designed for having heavy loads it carries 12# like I'm going in empty.
