How does the old Trophy Line Saddle compare?

I am looking to get back into saddle hunting. My first venture was an old Trophy Line saddle about 12 years ago. I was and am a public land hunter and was looking for something more compact, lighter, and stealthier. The concept of the saddle is what drew me toward that product. The big issues that I never overcame was that the trophy line saddle would become uncomfortable after a few hours and frustration with my climbing system. Those frustrations compelled me to sell my saddle and buck steps and purchase a new climber. I am very interested to hear of anyone's experience with the old Trophy Line Saddle compared to what is available today.

I can’t answer that question cause I’ve never sat in one of the older style trophy lines. But knowing how much saddle hunting has grown and improved on everything from saddles to sticks/platforms, I would venture to say that yes some of these saddles have fixed issues that you were previously having.

Hopefully someone with prior experience with the older trophylines can chime in and answer your questions better.

I would say the newly released Covert addressed all of your concerns w the old vintage models.

my dad and i had an old trophyline saddle 20 years ago. it was setable but not comfortable newer saddles are a lot different. lots of choices and way more comfortable. just gotta find what your body likes.

Very few are as comfortable as an original TL. If you found an original uncomfortable, it was either the wrong size, or you did not set up properly.
