How i milk my climbing ropes before use!

Ended up milking 19 inches off.

never seen or heard of this before. what kind of ropes should we be doing this to? Static rappel ropes?

You should be fine with static kernmantle style ropes, i do this for 24 strand double braids.

Does this make it more difficult to tie knots, or are the knots more prone to slipping after this procedure?
