How long do climbing ropes last? I've had my tether and linesman rope for about 6 years now and it has been out it all weather conditions. I'm curious as to how long these ropes typically last or should be replaced. They seem to be in good condition, but just wanted to check with everyone just to make sure they are up to par. Thanks!

Good question! I’m curious myself.. I think a lot of it comes down to proper storage?

If you are going by typical climbing standard operating procedures it's 1 year if the rope is being used and they have a 10 year shelf life of not in use for most ropes
