How many Crawford screw ins to make it 25-30ft

I am 6ft so I am think that is I step 24” I need 15 to max out at 30ft which I don’t think I will hunt that height to often but i don’t wanna pay shipping twice

Your step is up to you. Consider stepping up to your platform and consider bolts as an alternative.

I’m 6’3 and 24” is a stretch - safely, while utilizing a lineman’s belt. I usually do 30” on my bottom two. Then 20-24 from there.

Plan on getting bolts and prepping trees next season but gotta get something to use on the run for the season! I don’t wanna run a hand drill really... is it just as easy as good screw in steps??

Which drill you running, ez cut or grass hopper? Which one is best??

I use 22” as a rule of thumb when figuring climbing spacing.

30’ high equals 16.3 steps

I can make 20+/- ft with 12 ameristeps

If you haven’t order the steps yet, get the T steps. Highly recommend them. They’re my favorite screw in step. They are easier to get in the tree I think than any of their other ones because of how the screw pivots from the middle of the step, rather than from the top.

Ring of squirrelsteps is solid. Ring of bolts is too. Or ring of cranford Ts I've heard. How important is compactnesss? Most platforms and diy concepts are bulkier.

Trying to stay super compact! I may make a LW seat platform w/ a post but I may just run the Crawford screw ins for a platform too.
does anyone know how the noose is on the T’s verse the screw in nylon coated steps?

Are the T’s as quite as the the other screw in steps??

I carry 12 Crandfords most of the time and rarely have the need to hunt more than 10 high.I am 6’2” and Set them at my knee,hip and chin.

I like the original ez climb folding step and they are quiet enough.I am careful getting them out.I prefer them to the T Screw.Easier to get leverage on hard trees.
