I ordered the hunters boxes 500 deluxe generator. The shipping weight advised 4.2 pounds. As soon as I ordered it I received an email confirmation. Later that same afternoon I received an email saying the unit shipped. I received the unit 2 days later.
They advised that they had tested the battery and charged it fully. It came with all of the items they show on their website. I weighed the unit, hanging device, and the battery. I don't have a digital scale but the analog scale (my beer making scale) advised it was 25 ounces.
I plugged the battery into the unit and turned it on. It was definitely working. The fan does obviously make some noise but I don't think it will be too loud to take it into the woods. It doesn't have a self contained area for the battery though. I will have to figure out a way to attach the battery or possibly modify the unit.
