Hunting Beast Sticks

I bought 5. Dan guaranteed me to kill a monster using them. Funny @g2outdoors said the same thing about the mantis. Lol.

You pay for what you get in life. I am at a different point in my life than a lot of the other members on here. I am a big guy, I want something that is safe and not going to twist on me. I used the heliums and I could feel them flexing. I have XOP’S GREAT STICKS but only 1 sided for step. They are also heavy. But plenty of room for my size 14 boot. From what I have read and been told Dan’s sticks ought to be a mix between the two. So I am pretty excited. I have WE Stepps and they too are pretty awesome. However for my big feet I have a hard time using 1 for 2 feet.

Mine will be here Thursday. I got in on the little bit of inventory they had left from the first run. I’m going to be putting them through the paces beginning this weekend. I have no doubt they will be exactly what I need! I’ll post a review once I’ve used them a few times.

I used my four Beast sticks Saturday. They are light, strong, very sharp and the double steps are great! I'm very pleased with them and have no doubt they'll bite into any tree God has made. They stack loosely by design so as to not make any noise separating them at the base of the tree, however, they do make noise unless you secure them well while transporting them. I will probably paint them, but will definitely put a piece of soft side velcro or mole skin where the sticks contact each other to tighten them up a bit. On the way in I put them on the back of my Loc-On Limit treestand (waiting on Predator) with the standoffs facing my back, my Kestrel and fanny pack (with a handful of Cranford "T Steps", etc.) and jacket secured on top of that. They held on nicely with bungee cords but the lower set of standoffs were kind of close to my back. Not good! In no time at all those teeth were sawing into my waistline like the finals at a bucksaw competition! I had to stop and rearrange the load by putting the pack, jacket, etc. on first and then the sticks. I still had them vertical, but on their side. Much better and a lower profile as well.
Did I mention they were sharp? How sharp are they? They are so sharp that I added another beauty mark to the side of my forehead when I was climbing and looked down to admire my new sticks only to turn my head back towards the sky and get a real good close up! Long story short, they're awesome!
