Got my first real bow a few months ago, Bowtech Realm ended up being the one that seemed to work best for me. Really comfortable for me to shoot, and I just shoot really well with it.
Which realm the sr6 or ss?
The realm is a really good bow. That was my brothers first bow and I'll tell ya, it will shoot just as good as a hoyt or mathews. Good choice.Got my first real bow a few months ago, Bowtech Realm ended up being the one that seemed to work best for me. Really comfortable for me to shoot, and I just shoot really well with it.
You should try a heavier arrow setup. I am shooting 27.5”,70 pounds and around 265 FPS with 455 grain arrows. The actual arrow is light but I have 15% FOC by using 125 grain heads and 40 grain insert weight. I highly recommend a cut on contact fixed blade. ( I use Magnus Stinger).Plain old Realm, no suffix. I don't remember if I tried the SR6 or SS (I'm pretty sure I tried one, if not both, of them), but the plain old Realm seemed to feel the best to me. Shop had me try a bunch of different bows. Of the ones I remember trying...
Mathews Vertix
Hoyt Helix I think?
Elite Ritual 30
Aforementioned Bowtech Realms
Fact of the matter is, because of my little T.Rex arms, no bow I buy is going to be super fast. And I'm OK with that. I'd rather get something that feels comfortable for me to shoot. My chrono says, at 25.5" draw, 65 lbs, comfort setting, 405gr total weight arrows = 240FPS.
Caveat of above opinions being that I consider myself a new archer.
