I’m looking for some basic stuff for hunting. I’ve tried some camo over the years, but a lot of stuff fits funny to me. If it’s camo cool, if not, just some brown or grey pants, etc will do.
Anyone have any reasonable priced stuff that they’ve found that fits the bill and is comfortable? I find a lot of hunting pants are long to me and shirts/hoodies are tight in the shoulders.
Just curious to see what some of you other folks wear instead of overpriced patterns.

I’m guilty of buying a ton of stuff and some of it is expensive, but you know what my favorite pants are right now for fishing and scouting and maybe even early season bow, Wrangler Men’s Outdoor Comfort Flex Cargo pant, $22 walmart, there no joke, some guys on rokslide talked about them and I bought a pair to try and bought 4 more, I have some in green for hunting and tan pair for scouting, makes it easier to spot ticks.

Depends on how well you Handel the cold, and how cold it gets where your hunting. I would recommend spend the money on a good base layer. Wind proof for those gusty days. What are you walking through? Cause you can get sweat pants with some pattern and a hoody over top. Done. Figure with your saddle on, and a pair of boots. Not a whole lot exposed on the legs. I use to try and keep it cheap. In Michigan all it ever got me was cold and out of the woods faster. Or walking around with 10 layers on like the stay puff marshmallow man.

But I think that old school Wool stuff works well to. Soft, warm, and not super expensive. Problem might just be getting the fit right.

I bought a pair last season in camo. What an ugly color, but they are nice and comfy! I want to score some in a solid color.

I've been eyeballing these for a while but the pics they alway look like skinny jeans on the models.... are they tight in the leg like in the pictures? I found some wrangler stretch pants at goodwill and they are my favorite pants but I dont know the "model" of the pant I found.

Im 6’1” , 235, and I wear a 36x30, long torso and short legs, they fit me perfect, Im definitely not slim! They stretch, probably the most comfortable pants I have ever owned, there not baggy around my legs like regular jeans but there hipster skinny style either.

Look into military bdu's. They come in many sizes and you can customize your top and bottom size, say a medium-medium for the bottoms and large-regular for the top. There's tons available in a Crayola box assortment of colors. Durable and easy to mend.

You can buy the knock off crye assaulted pants they sell for air soft and they have a lot more pockets on the pants and knee pads that work great for resting knees into the tree

I check in thrift stores you never know. It’s a year round activity. Also, Sierra.com. Cabelas used to have rock bottom deals but they are not like they used to be. I just bought 2 different pair to try out- I always spend over the limit for free shipping then return what I don’t like.

20 years ago Cabelas was awesome, made in USA fleece hemmed while you waited at the store, I still buy that stuff used if I can find it, all the new stuff doesn’t fit me anymore, terrible what has happened to them, it used to be my favorite store.

I’ve heard good things about thiessens. They are a newer company so they aren’t very popular yet. They are very affordable though and someone on here highly recommend them. I’m gonna order a early season set and see how I like it. If it’s not up to standards then I’ll use them for turkey, coyote, scouting or yard work lol! It’s so affordable though it’s worth a shot.30651873-9DDE-4638-B706-77E8645B9AEB.jpeg

I've been happy with SKRE Gear. You can get a bundle of their hardscrabble jacket, pant and a merino base layer top for $300 after discounts. Its on sale 20% off now and you get 15% off on your first order.
