Hunting from the ground

I have the Hammock seat modified like Dave Toms and the Waldrop Pac Seat. They are both beyond comfortable. They both have their place in the woods for different scenarios. Regardless of which one you use.. have a good backdrop behind you and wait till the deer is quartering away. I killed my first trad buck at 12 yards wearing a ghillie suti while sitting in my hammock seat.

Wondered about the ghillie suit shooting traditional, does the material get in the way of your bow string? What brand do you have?

I have a cheap one from the sportsmans guide. Its made by Red Rock. It's a 3/4 length parka. No real need for pants. I cut the arm off and wear just something camo under it. Nothing gets caught at all.

waldrop seats are great, very light, wear like a back pack, very comfy too. I highly recommend & it will last a lifetime. Mike

In it’s carry bag next to a solo scout for reference.

My bow draw scale is indicating approx 1.25 lbs seat and carry bag.

It swivels 360, this fat guy test hears no sounds while sitting or swiveling. Definitely going in my truck with my ghillie suit.

Probably try it out in the next couple weeks.
