Has anyone ever tried to use or modify the rifle holder on your hunting pack to carry the Hawk Helium sticks?

It can hold them and then be strapped up against the pack but I wonder if the jostling hiking in will tear the rifle holder.

Anyone ever tried this? Can it be reinforced?

It will work fine...or you can just use compression straps on any backpack and just go around the pack in 2 places

I have been using a Badlands SuperDay pack. I have strapped the heliums down using the rifle holder and without the rifle holder just using the straps. Both work fine. I think it would take alot to tear that rifle holder up. With Badlands they would probably just replace it if it did get tore up anyways. I havent had to use their warranty claim but Ive heard its good.

Do you have a picture? Sounds good.
I actually did take one before because gets discussed so much.

Joe-I will have a bunch of pics coming Tuesday of my set up. I think after all these years I figured out how to best carry sticks efficiently-for me anyway! First hurdle for me was to quit trying to solve ways to carry sticks with a system that weighs nothing! For me it just wouldn’t work. My gear would constantly shift and make noise and then god forbid I need to get in my pack I couldn’t because the sticks were so tightly strapped that I couldn’t access zippers. Also, I wasn’t efficient or fast in set up because I sacrificed efficiency for weight savings. I probably spent more money on packs trying to find the best setup (much like my duty gun holster search obsession) and now I think I found it! I got an Eberlestock Mainframe (very compact external frame pack) with add on Eberlestock Batwings and And MOLLE attachable gun rest to help nest the sticks to the actual Mainframe. Then the batwings envelope to sticks with quick connect compression straps. Everything remains very well balanced and solid and more importantly quick and efficient and the best part is I have access to my gear in the batwings without having to disturb the sticks and straps. Sorry I’m so long winded-just excited to share as it’s been years trying to figure it out. post pics on Tuesday.
