I have a COW problem!!!

The property i hunt is a 70 acre parcel with about 20 acres of woods and the rest is woods. I do all of my hunting in the very back section of the property, but here lately there has been cows venturing into my hunting area and eating my corn. I havent had a problem with them coming back there ever since we got cows but here recently i have. What would yall do? Suggestions?
 
Welcome to the club. I run into it all the time. Once they’ve found the corn you can basically forget it unless you fence off a section. I’ve had deer come in right next to the cows but it seems like less often than when the cows are grazing elsewhere. If you get rid of the corn and don’t let the cows see you go in then you’ll probably be okay. If they see you they typically think you have food. Best of luck!

I hunt a 70 acre farm regularly, we can't bait so that partnisntnan issue, but their unpredictably is. I have had them squash pop up blinds, bulls charge me at 5am you name it. Is buy a salt lick for the cows and start a feed pile for the cows just out of range to switch their interest....fencing next year :)
 
Put a fence up. I recently got access to a 130 acre farm divided into 5 sections with fencing. The cows are in the field next to the woods so far I kinda like them there. They provide a decent amount of cover scent and noise, but are far enough away that I can't even see them.

Ive had cows charge me too!! Lol

I bet the cover scent really helps, i used to hunt a farm that had chicken houses. We would stand in front of the fans blowing out stinky air that smelt like chicken poop and we would never get busted because the deer was used to the smell.

Funny enough...it pretty much the biggest reason i carry a hand gun bownhunting. Jersey bulls are mean. And they're leasing our land. And I have a backhoe. That thing could be in the freezer in less than 5 hours...no one but family would know. Man I hate jersey bulls..
 
Only thing you can do is stop feeding corn or fence it off. I've hunted our farm all my life with cows on it and I use to rotate feeding corn in different places depending on what pasture the cows are in. Also here if theres a cow in sight deer won't come out, let the cow wander out of a sight and the deer will flood out. The buck I killed last weekend had been coming to that field every day for 5 weeks, my dad moved the cows over there Friday, saturday morning the cows hung out by that woodlot and the buck didn't show. Sunday afternoon they hung out around me all evening but finally moved out of sight at 7:05 and at 7:15 that buck gave me a shot.
 
It’s funny how we say deer don’t like being around cows. I have seen a few nice bucks at feeders with cows but it’s definitely not the norm. I live in an area that produces a lot of pecans. Most of these orchards plant a mixture of rye and clover. Very rarely see deer. I know farmers that claim the deer are hammering their pecans. So maybe it’s a lack of cover for daylight activity but I literally see more deer in clean fields and hay fields than in pecan orchards that are growing popular food plot plants as a cover crop. Just an odd observation.
Back to the cows I would fence them out the wooded end for the winter. It wouldn’t cost that much to put 3 hot wires across one end.

Noooo ....now I’m scared even more than I was...lol
I’m not a cow guy. I never have really been around them.
I have a spot in Ohio that had 30 or so with no bulls. I ended up walking right into the middle of them at night coming out with my head down. One did a half hearted charge.
I go there this year to scout and there now are close to 100...still luckily no bulls. I am definitely more afraid of them than they are of me. I have been successfully shoo-ing them away from me. I have not seen any deer any where near them.
The damn things filled up my free 100 spypoint pics in one morning ...lol

Just don't run or walk to fast away from them. I walk through cows alot hunting and working them and most the time theyll just watch. May follow you but enless you start running they won't. Also try not to come between a heifer and her calf and they'll generally leave you be. I will add that I've also had to jump a few fences before because of cows but it's rare and usually only when were trying to get them up for something.
