That depends on the jacket and the saddle. Generally speaking though, I wear the saddle over the jacket.when it gets cold and you guys layering do you tuck your jacket under the saddle or over?? my jacket is kind of long.
No one wants to do their filming in the cold, plus most video are made in the offseason as well!I'm new to saddle hunting, and, man, every time I think of asking a question on here, there's already a thread on it Just this morning while practicing a 2TC climb, I was thinking this same question about the jacket (I ended up putting it underneath the saddle only because I can't stand having to carry yet one more thing on my pack). I like @Fireprojectile's method to keep cool during the climb, though.
I was going to ask about cold weather clothing in general. As I have been researching saddle hunting on YouTube the past few months, have you ever noticed almost everyone in these saddle hunting videos has shorts on, or short sleeves (or BOTH!) and some have crocs or sneakers on their feet, too!
Doesn't anyone saddle hunt in cold weather?

Challenge accepted.Yeah, that's a good point. But that doesn't mean they can't demonstrate cold weather climbs by wearing cold weather gear regardless of weather or time of year. I would have thought someone would say, "Hey, let me show you how easy (or not) my method is while dealing with a jacket, bibs, gloves and/or insulated boots."
I dunno - it must be easier to do this when you aren't dealing with gloves and coats, etc. --- I always wonder, how much harder is it when you are bundled up in 20 degree weather, or when you aren't bundled up but need to haul up cold weather gear and put it all on once you are at the top.
